About Me

I am a writer, blogger, and social networker living in the Pacific Northwest.

So much has changed since I started my first blog, The World of My Imagination, in 2011. It is still my place for personal thoughts, but lately, it's transformed into more of a book and writing blog. I love featuring authors in some way, so come by and find out how I can help here.

These days most of my writing thoughts appear on the Women on Writing blog (you can check out my latest here). Also, you can check out my newest blog, Lady Unemployed, that I'm trying to keep up to date.

I also continue to submit my short stories and poetry to literary magazines. I also love to create video poems and I invite you to take a look at my YouTube page that features all of my creations. I am also accepting freelance work as well as a full-time and part-time job, so feel free to contact me with any leads or opportunities you may hear about (you can also take a look at some writing samples at my portfolio page).

Overall, I am an active and enthusiastic writer and I hope you stick around for my journey! There's so much more to come and I can't wait for it to unfold. Be sure to also follow me on Twitter and say hi!

Your Writer, Nicole

  1. Nicole,
I discovered your blog via the Writers Digest Community--my intent was to make a brief visit to everyone's blog (on the Blogger's Love group) today to show some love, but I got "stuck" reading your wonderful posts--very inspiring--I truly enjoyed it.

Good luck with your future publication(s)!

  2. Hi Tracy - Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I'm so glad that you have enjoyed it! I am always so touched at anyone that comes by and sticks around for a while! :)

  3. Hi, Nicole. Take a look at your "About me" in your right sidebar. I think you meant "fellow" bloggers. If we were out to lunch and you had something in your teeth, I would tell you that, too. Toilet paper on your shoe. I'm your gal. Because that's what friends do. :) So glad to meet you through WD! Thanks for visiting me blog. I'll be back.

    1. Thank you so much!! That's definitely a good friend, by the way! :) I'm cool about the toilet paper-heel thing too! :)

  4. hello there! im new to blogger.im just a starter. i found your blog on google+ which led me here. great blogs. its very interesting and inspiring.

  5. Hi Nicole. Amazing blog - I definitely love the concept. And by the way, congratulations to you. Your "Blogoversary" is, indeed, real soon. :D I'll definitely stick around and follow your journey. It will be fun, I can feel it! ;) New follower by the way - GFC, Linky and Networked Blogs ;) Oh, and thanks for visiting my blog as well! :)

  6. Hi Nicole, I enjoyed reading your blogs. I just published a book and am working on another, so though I would like to follow many blogs, time is not on my side. Please visit me at www.gailonwritingabook.blogspot.com. By the way, did you get published yet? Thanks again!

  7. Hi Nicole, It's nice to meet a fellow writer/book blogger from Portland. I love how you structure your book recommendations. I personally enjoy an occasional ghost story and am a cat person.

Best of luck on the road to publishing!

  8. Hey Nicole!

You will need to keep us posted on your imminent publishing.

    I enjoy your blog!

  9. I Nicole, I have a question to discuss. Why passionate writers dont find themselves fit in corporate as copy writer or just content writers who write sales emails, birthday flyers, and white papers in their jobs. Why every day sucks your soul when someone else deletes your oxford comma without having the knowledge of English and you dont say anything because of saving your job.

  10. Happy to find you via #SITSBLogging group! I am also a writer and owner of a small publishing company. I love stumbling upon a new blog that shares my passions! My publishing fb page is: https://www.facebook.com/TruPublishing and my natural health blog is http://www.naturalgirldiary.com/... just subscribed to your newsletter and am looking forward to following you! Stephanie

  11. I want to thank you for following "A Way With Words." My joy in writing is made more complete when people read what I've written (and even more when they respond).

While I regularly write about faith and mental illness, I'm known to dabble in other subjects, stories, and even the occasional poem. If you have any requests, please let me know.

I appreciate what you have going here and how you have fostered community among writers. I pray you are blessed as you are a blessing to others.

    Tony Roberts

  12. So nice to read your post, thank you for sharing, you are enthusiastic and motivating, glad to start my day with your post:)

  13. Just read and shared your article about writers working with bloggers - An Author’s Guide to Book Bloggers. Couldn't agree more, and nicely expressed.

I am always so very pleased when a blogger is prepared to review a book or feature a guest post or interview. It doesn't grow old at all.

  14. Hi Nicole-- Regarding "Welcome to Maravilla," thank you for your keen insight that place is used as a character in the book. This is absolutely true! I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Thanks for your review.

I love comments! Unfortunately, though, due to an increase in spam comments, I am going to be moderating comments for a while. But be rest assured, I'll be approving yours shortly. Thanks for stopping by!
