I am a very visual person. So, when it comes to the poetry I have written, I have begun to make what I call, "Video Poetry" (poetry set to images that enhance them message). So far, I have created three that I can share with you and as I continue making them, I will post more.
Feel free to share your thoughts, reactions, and feedback in the comment section! This is an ongoing learning process for me, so any response is appreciated!
Enjoy!
My first video, entitled In A Dream, came to me after a dream I had one night. The dream felt so real that I had to create a video about it so I would not forget (as dreams do often fade away) I do not own the rights to the music, nor do I own the rights to the video. The music is Any Other World by Mika and the video clip was made by Ivan Bridgew and obtained from archive.org (http://www.archive.org/details/IMB_SF_R31_C3).
My poem, The Pink Elephant, revolved around the saying, "Don't talk about the pink elephant in the room." I do not own the rights to these photos nor do I own the rights to the music (which by the way is from Nightmare on Elm Street.)
Over the summer, I published a short story entitled Underneath My Clothes, I am Naked Too. It was inspired by my older brother who suffers with a severe mental illness. Purchase my short story on Amazon.com for your Kindle or purchase for any other e-book platform (Nook, iPhone/iPad ebooks, etc) on Smashwords.
The Fog is a poem I wrote after literally seeing a large mass of fog roll in one night when I was living in California. It was a haunting site and it reminded me of a guy I really liked at the time. I also do not own the rights to these pictures, nor do I own the rights to the music.
The Library - An Ode to Books
My latest creation, entitled The Library - An Ode to Books features my dedication to one thing I really enjoy - reading. And if you love books, whether its reading or writing them, you will want to watch this.
